Having had my birthday a few months ago, 29 feels unique in its *almost* milestone-ness, like the last room before stepping onto the elevator (as if divisibility-by-10 works as some sort of cosmic force guiding our unique experiences—but I guess we humans do like round numbers).
I love the metaphor of "The hottest room is too hot til you pour a bucket of cold water over your heads". Looking forward to the book of essays!
